I have pretty much worked out on a regular basis since I was in my 20's and was even a certified Aerobics instructor for 10 years but as I approached the age of 50, I felt like my body was betraying me. I had injuries that would not go away and surgery on my foot that did not heal right and is always painful. I started to feel limited it what I could do in terms of working out and it made me feel old.

 

Then a very good friend of mine introduced me to Heather and Believe Personal Training. I have been training with Heather on a regular bases for over a year and I am now stronger and in better shape than I have probably ever been in my life. I also have my confidence back. I have learned to work harder when I work out and more effectively than ever before. I do not feel limited like I did because we work around the areas of concern. The limitation was all in my mind and Heather helped me understand that and move past it.

 

I have learned a lot about myself with Heather's guidance and encouragement. Most of all I have learned to "believe" in myself again. My physical body has transformed but more importantly my state of mind has transformed!!

I have been working with Heather Stephenson from Believe Personal Training since August 2015.  When I first came to Heather, I was feeling tired all the time, and I wasn’t happy with my overall health.  I was about 15 pounds overweight, and I knew I needed to change.  I was 48 years old, and I wasn’t very optimistic about my results because I’d worked with personal trainers in the past, and I never really saw the results I desired.

 

Working out with Heather changed all that.  Since I started working out with Heather, I have reached my goal weight, I feel strong, and I am able to do things now that I have never been able to do before.  I feel like I am in better shape now than I was in my twenties.  I am no longer embarrassed to wear a bathing suit by the pool.  Actually, Heather helped me pick out a suit that would fit my body type.

 

If you are tired, unhappy with your general health, and know you need to make a change in your life, I can honestly say that Heather has been the most inspirational trainer/coach I have ever worked with.  She is super encouraging, pushes me to reach new goals I never thought I could do, and never makes me feel like a failure. Heather genuinely cares about each of her clients, and she tailors the workouts to meet their needs.  I came to Heather with a bad knee, and now since I have strengthened the muscles around the knee, I have very few problems with it.  Not only will Heather guide you through your workout, encouraging you the entire time, she goes above and beyond what is required of her as a trainer.  She has helped both my daughter and myself with nutrition.  If I ever have any questions about diet, she is there to help.  Her knowledge of the human body is so far above and beyond what I expect from any trainer.

 

Overall, I would highly recommend Heather Stephenson of Believe Personal Training.  She is an absolutely awesome trainer, and I can’t believe my before and after pictures.  I feel stronger and more capable than I ever have, and I attribute that to my workouts with Heather.

Before I began training with Heather, I struggled with motivation, didn't have any fitness goals or fitness guidance, I had tried several fad diets and gimmicks but I knew I just wanted to lose the weight and that was it, training with Heather has given me a completely different meaning of being fit, strong and to be healthy. She has taught me tremendously about fitness, weight training, nutrition. She motivates me and pushes me beyond what I thought my limits were.  Since training with Heather, I have become stronger, much stronger than I have ever imagined I would be, and I feel better than I ever did in my 20s. Of course I continue to grow stronger and I'm still working on improving. It has been a great blessing and great pleasure training with and knowing Heather

I have not been able to commit to any workout regime. I've tried 24 Hour Fitness (intimidating) and a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness (still intimidating but slightly better). I've tried kick-boxing but that only lasted about 6 months; it was fun, but the atmosphere was like 24 Hour Fitness.

So I hadn't worked out for about 7 years. I knew I was out of shape, and I was unhappy with my jiggly arms and soft body. I couldn't even walk around Disneyland without being tired and sore, and I found I was taking regular "night naps" after work.

Then I met Heather. I immediately liked her upbeat personality and humor. She keeps it fun and changes up the workout so it's always something new and challenging. I always leave feeling good about myself, like I've accomplished something.

Over time I've become stronger, and I have more energy (no more "night naps"!). I can see muscles I never knew I had before, and I'm more confident wearing sleeveless tops and leggings. It's been about 13 months now working with Heather, and I know I will continue to do so. This commitment will last because I am enjoying the proven benefits!

When I first met Heather I'd been working out on my own for a couple of years and made some good progress, but I "hit a wall."  I was getting burned out and I wan't seeing results no matter how hard I worked. I continued to go to the gym 3-5 times a week, but I wasn't able to reach my next goal so I signed up to meet with a personal trainer.

I feel so lucky that I was assigned to Heather, she's been such a great influence on my health and wellness. I've worked with her for the past 5 years.  During that time she's been able to help me accomplish my goals, challenge me to make new goals, and support me maintain balance when life gets busy.  I truly appreciate that she always keeps my overall wellness in perspective, she understands when I'm overwhelmed and is very respectful.  She knows my body well and knows how to challenge me and when to modify an exercise so I don't injure myself.  I know that she will help me work hard and watch me to make sure I don't get injured.

After all of these years, I consider Heather a friend and I'm incredibly grateful that she's stood by my side on my journey to wellness!

When I met Heather, I was working out regularly at the gym but I was bored.  I was only using machines that I had knowledge of.  Heather mixed it up, challenged me and made it fun.  She has taught me a variety of exercises on and off machines. With Heather I have done things I never thought I could. She is always very encouraging. I think she understands my physical abilities and disabilities. When I have had an injury, she carefully works with me and gives me exercises to improve. I would recommend Heather to young and old because of not only her passion for fitness but her warmheartedness.

I started training with Heather about 4 months before my wedding. I wanted to look my very best for my big day and hoped Heather could help me reach my goals. I have always done pretty well with maintaining my fitness independently but the last year or so has been a challenge to stay motivated and committed. Heather listened to my concerns and tailored a workout plan that was fun, challenging and effective. Her unwavering encouragement and positivity was truly and inspiration. When I met Heather I was 20 years old, and working for a wellness based beauty company. Yoga and hiking were a part of my health routines, but I had plateaued. At the time I started training I was down in weight, and also in muscle mass because of a bought with Hypoglycemia. Using my baselines, Heather combined nutrition and exercise to help me maximize my performance and results. Though I moved to Texas from California for work before achieving my end goal, I noticed a significant increase in my muscle mass, stamina, and mood. Heather’s training helped me to connect my mind and body in a way I hadn't been able to before, and this has lead me to lead a much healthier life.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter for Heather.  Under Heather’s guidance I have been able to accomplish goals I previously thought impossible.  When I first met Heather I could only deadlift 90lbs.  My current 1 rep max is 175lb. and I am looking forward to deadlifting 180lbs.! Heather has taken me beyond my self-imposed limits.  I am amazed at my strength.

As a former trainer who has been in the industry I can tell you Heather is wonderful.  Heater’s welcoming personality immediately puts you at ease.  She is very attentive to her clients’ needs.  She listens to them, their concerns, and most importantly their fears. She is very accommodating to any physical issues a client may have.  She is constantly modifying upper body work for me, due to a shoulder injury.  Although I can’t perform certain moves, I never leave her sessions feeling defeated.  Heather is constantly reminding me of what I can do!  She is a great trainer who has worked with me to accomplish great strength gains!
